At Trekking Tom Experiences, we only use the best qualified and insured mountain leaders. The UK is an amazing place to hike with so many mountains, hills and lakes to explore. But it can be a little overwhelming if you're not familiar with the area or unsure about your navigational skills.

New Year's Day Hike

LAKE DISTRICT

12.8km (8 miles) 4-5 Hours Easy

Start 2025 with a refreshing New year's day hike around Rydal water, Grasmere, and Rydal caves. it’s the perfect way to kick off the new year with adventure, stunning scenery, and a sense of renewal.

Winter Solstice Hike

LAKE DISTRICT

12km (7.5 miles) 5-6 hours Intermediate

Embrace the magic of the season with our Winter Solstice Hike over the Northern Lake District! ❄️ Join us for a special journey through frosty landscapes and snow-dusted peaks as we celebrate the shortest day of the year. This guided hike offers breathtaking winter views, peaceful trails, and a chance to witness the soft glow of the solstice sunrise over the fells.

Autumn 2 Day Escape - Lake District

LAKE DISTRICT

25km (16 miles) 2 Days Intermediate

Spend a weekend exploring the stunning autumn landscapes of Langdale, with guided walks along the Crinkle Crags and Pike of Blisco ridge, followed by a journey around the iconic Langdale Pikes. This escape combines rewarding hikes, breathtaking views, and cozy evenings, all starting from the Old Dungeon Ghyll.

Dark Sky Event - Peak District - Castleton

DARK SKY EVENTS

10km (6 miles) 4-5 Hours Easy

Join us for a guided Dark Sky Hike in the Peak District, where we’ll explore dramatic moorland trails under a canopy of stars. This 4-5-hour evening walk offers a unique opportunity to experience the peace of the national park after dark, with expert guidance, night navigation, and stargazing along the way.

Edale Skyline

PEAK DISTRICT

32km (20 miles) 8-10 Hours Hard

Take on the breathtaking Edale Skyline hike with us, where stunning views, dramatic ridges, and rolling hills await! Led by an experienced guide, this unforgettable journey covers one of the Peak District’s most iconic routes—perfect for those ready to explore the heights and beauty of Edale.

Helvellyn Via Striding Edge

LAKE DISTRICT

13km (8 miles) 5-6 hours Hard

There are many fine ways to climb Helvellyn but an ascent via Striding Edge has to be considered the most spectacular of all. This is a classic grade 1 scramble.
